Wanna help me find a 4-leafed clover? [Is it "4-leaf" or is it "4-leafed"? Oh well. I will just use it both ways for now.]
Ah! There’s one! This one was trying to be sneaky with it’s folded leaves ‘n all.
Do you see the 4-leafer in this bunch?
I know that 4 leaf clovers symbolize LUCK for some peeps, but I honestly don’t really believe in luck. Coincidence? Yes. Skill? Okie. I mean, wouldn’t you agree that it takes some type of skill to locate a single 4-leafed clover in a mass of all green 3-leaf clovers? [I can say this right now because I just found some!] To me, it’s like a game. I love puzzles like that. It’s how my brain works sometimes.
So this is what I do when I’m having a bad day. Well, this is ONE of the things I like to do on a bad day! I won’t name some of the other stuff right now. Maybe some day. Right now, I’m happy just to share this little part of myself. So if life sucks and the weather is nice out, I will run out and breathe in nature. I always drift over to the clover patches and start the quest for the lucky one. Most times, I actually find more than one. I don’t know if it’s because I know all the best spots in the yard or if I’m just crazy like that, but I like feeling the success of winning the search. It helps lighten my mood – bad day or not. While I’m hunting, I also do a lot of thinking. I’ve found that it really doesn’t require much concentration for finding 4-leafers. You are really just looking for patterns. So while I pattern-hunt, my mind races to my day…my family…my friends…my life. Sometimes I think good thoughts and sometimes I – er – don’t. Sometimes I pray. Sometimes my mind draws a blank.
Today, in about 30 minutes, I located five 4-leaf clovers. Isn’t that some sort of grande accomplishment?
I dunno! But it cheered me up some!
What do you like to do for cheering yourself up?

Reminds me of my mom…she can find them like you can!! Makes me so mad!
) I’m not lucky like that. But I am like you…when I need a lift, I will go outside and walk around the farm, watch the cows, listen to the trees rustle in the breeze, and sit on the bank of the creek. Great post! I might do one similar soon although it may not involve 4 leaf clovers.

Ah, I so agree with you! What is it about being around animals like that that is so relaxing? You know how some rest homes for aging folks will have cats so the people can sit there and pet them all day? It IS relaxing! =-D
I feel the same way as you! Cant say I have ever found 5 though.. way to go!

WOW! I don’t think I’ve found FIVE in my entire life!
Perhaps they don’t really bring ‘luck’, but that’s still pretty cool!

I guess it might be kinda odd to find 5 at one time – but I will say this: if you don’t try too hard to find one, then you will probably find several. That’s what I was saying about putting my mind on something else while I also kinda half-hazardly search for the pattern of 4 leaves amongst the others.
Okay, okay…I’m a descriptive, detailed dork with explaining things!
You found FIVE??? I’ve never found a single one! You are truly blessed in the four leafed clover department.
We have tons of clover around our house.. makes me want to go clover hunting tomorrow. =)
