This is my frst visit to your beautiful blog via Kimba’s Soft Place to Land but I will be returning. This is one of my favorite mantels! I love the painting and what a find for $12! More so, I love how you incorporated the window and overlapped it onto the canvas. The white votives in the mason jars balance the white window frame and woman’s dress in the painting. Sweet simplicity. Thank you for sharing.

WOW! We’ve never experienced appendicitis, but we definitely don’t go to the doctor very often. Usually when my kids or I get sick, we begin treating it ourselves unless it just goes on too long or I’m not feeling confident about what’s going on. But after a while of having your kids go through sniffles, allergies, stomach bugs and sinus infections.. you get pretty adept about sniffing out which is which. =)

I need to find me one of those “rich people’s Goodwill stores.”

That is truly awful! I bet you WERE confused if you were also so nauseous and vomiting really bad! I’m so thankful that everything turned out well in your situation. Definitely keep Corey in your prayers…though he is nearly back to normal now. It’s a blessing!
