About ClassiclyAmber + Fam

Amber lives just outside of Charlotte, NC in the beautiful countryside with her amazing hubby and their 4 wondermous children. Her husband is a musical, techno geek genius and she is expanding his horizons by reminding him to also look at the world through the eyes of a rugged mountain man. He is an architect and she is an interior design student dropout. Together, they planned and designed their 3 story farmhouse and had fun watching their ideas go from paper to reality. However, during the building process, their accountant lost sight of the budget and thus they ran out of money, having to nix several ideas from their home. Since money is tight, they are getting to these projects around the house as they can. A lot of their life happens around the homestead. Obviously there is some work to be done at home around a mini-farm, but they also choose to homebirth, homeschool and even homechurch.

You are looking at a lady who has many, many interests and loves learning new things, so she usually finds it easy to connect with people because of that. Through reading this blog, you will be inspired by her design ideas and catch up with some of the latest projects she’s working on. You can enter to win giveaways for free and catch some of her favorite recipes along the way.

“Some things that really rock my socks are:

  • Anything about natural living and being totally self sufficient;
  • So that would also include homesteading and farming, wouldn’t it?;
  • Baking and cooking tasty foods with good, good quality ingredients;
  • Photography;
  • Music (I play the piano and a little on the guitar; my Dad was one of the first drummers for Randy Travis…but why do you care about my Dad? This is a paragraph about ME!);
  • Drawing – as in, artwork;
  • Anything and especially ANYTHING crafty and creative;
  • Interior design (workin’ on that here);
  • Gardening;
  • Herbalism;
  • Homebirthing (no, I’m not kooky. Not TOO kooky, anyway…just enough to be fun!);
  • Homeschooling;
  • Getting (and being) organized (emphasis on the ‘getting’ part)

Okay – *yawn! This list could seriously hum on into the night. I guess if you want to know more, then you’ll just have to tune into my blog and see what ya discover!”

For this family, life happens a little differently than most American families, but that life is grand! Join ‘em in their adventures! There are more ideas that are in the works for this blog, so stay tuned to see what happens next…
