Does it truly get any more charming than this? – - Than to dine off of innocent pastel colored ceramics, all made by the talented hands of Jeanette Zeis? Zeis runs a shop on Etsy called Vessels and Wares, where she sells lots of handthrown pottery – anything from plates to hanging planters, to mugs and single cupcake stands. You will love to know that it is all food-safe, lead-free and dishwasher-safe.

Can you handle all of these scalloped edges? Oh my. I would love to have an entire set with each piece a different color. It would be the perfect touch for a garden party or a bridal luncheon.

And speaking of weddings, wouldn’t this make a beautiful wedding or anniversary gift? What I love are the personal touches. Have the happy couple’s names hand written into the side of the cake stand. Add in some hand carved touches. It is perfection. If you are bride, consider registering with Zeis’ shop instead of getting something mass produced.

You may not know this, but I am a big fan of aprons! Right now, I have a few aprons and want to add more to my collection. I have browsed hundreds of blogs and websites and patterns and more looking through all types of aprons. There are very, very few aprons that I’ve seen that I didn’t really like. Do you like aprons? Even if you’ve never put one on, I want you to think about what you’re missing out on in the kitchen. You don’t cook? I don’t care! Even if you just pop some mess into the microwave, if you first don an apron before nuking the food, you will look and feel like a Queen! And who doesn’t want to feel like that?

So back to Kelli: she’s a pretty awesome gal. There are many, many reasons that make her awesome – but the one thing I wanted to tell you about here is that she makes up tasty aprons! Yes, indeedy do. She’s getting ready to come out with new styles to add to her Etsy shop, and you will want to stay tuned for that!

By the way, I sketched up some new images for her shop! This will give you just a teaser taste of what she has in store for us! I can’t wait!

Aren’t maps COOL? Who knew that something as simple as roads and names of cities drawn out on paper could add a nifty design element to almost any room? And I love the collage above, don’t you? Lately, I’ve been thinking about map shtuffs and how I could possibly use them for decor here in our farmhouse. As you will see, there are many options! I would personally pick something more rustic than a lot of the following examples, but I do appreciate the inspiration~!

So what types of things can a map do for YOUR room?

The quickest option is probably just to slap a few straight on your walls. You can easily disassemble a road map book and cover one whole wall of your room:

Or your ceiling:

Or turn a few of the pages into lampshade covers, which I think would look especially fab on a rustic chandelier. The below pic shows less-than-awesome lampshade examples of what you can make…but you could make something WAY better than this! (Instructions found here, BTW)

How about covering the top of a small table with a map?

Or if you’d rather it not be so permanent, how about a table covering instead?

You can’t go wrong having your maps framed up, such as with this map of Rome:

Or this map of Paris:

Ooo la la!

But you don’t have to spend a fortune to have a large framed map in your home! Kimba, from over at A Soft Place to Land, posted good instructions with pics on how to frame up your own map:

Then there are murals that you can purchase and take your walls and ceilings to the next level:

Isn’t THAT fancy? Maybe a little too fancy for most of our palaces…

Then there’s this bold shower curtain that is made out of cotton…so I’m really seeing it as a window treatment for a playroom:
